Winter weather advisory for portions of Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.

Severe thunderstorm warning and watches for northern and central Minnesota.

Red flag alert for: southern Nevada; northern, eastern, and southeastern Arizona; New Mexico; central, south, and eastern Colorado; Western Kansas; western Oklahoma; New Mexico; north and western taxes; northern and central Michigan.

Winter continues in the West, with stormy weather along the eastern seaboard, while high winds over the next three days will create the potential for critical fire weather and prompt red flag alerts. At least three days of thunderstorms will bring the threat of severe weather and flash flooding to the central US. Here is that 3-day forecast from the National Weather Service (NWS).

Monday: High winds, red flag alerts, severe weather and potential flooding

Mixed precipitation in the West and Northwest, with winter weather advisories for portions of Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.

Thunderstorms over the northern tier of the West and upper Midwest will bring the threat of severe weather for portions of the Dakotas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. A risk of flash flooding for northern and eastern North Dakota, as well as northwestern Minnesota.

Strong winds will span from California to northern Michigan.

Critical fire weather is possible over northern Arizona, throughout New Mexico, central and southeastern Colorado, southwestern Kansas, western Oklahoma, and northern Texas.

Tuesday: Severe thunderstorms, critical fire weather

Thunderstorms over the southern plains will bring the risk of severe weather for western and northern Texas. Thunderstorms over the Great Lakes area.

A second day of strong winds will prompt the possibility of critical fire weather and portions of Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico.

Thunderstorms over the central US, Northern Rockies, and Great Lakes regions.

Potential severe weather over parts of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. The risk of flash flooding over northern and central Minnesota into northwestern Wisconsin.

Critical fire weather is possible over portions of Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico.
