Severe thunderstorm warning: western South Dakota and northeastern Wyoming.
Flood warning: southeastern Montana, northern and southern South Dakota.

Excessive heat warning: western Kansas, central and southern Missouri, southern Illinois, western Kentucky, northern Arkansas.
Heat advisory for portions of: South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee.
Thunderstorms and heat are going to blanket much of the lower 48 this week, with the biggest concern being multiple rounds of severe storms that will bring the possibility of heavy rain and flash flooding to an expansive stretch of the nation.

Thunderstorms over much of the nation. Potential severe weather stretches from Montana to Pennsylvania, putting at least 19 states under a Level 2 severe weather risk for the northern Rockies, upper Midwest, Ohio Valley, mid-South and mid-Atlantic. Heavy rain with the potential for flash flooding also exists for this same region. The affected states include Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and North Carolina.
A Level 3 severe weather risk for central, south-central and southeastern South Dakota, southwestern Minnesota, northeastern Nebraska and northwestern Iowa, could bring damaging winds, large hail and a few isolated tornadoes.

The first front is over much of Montana, western North Dakota, western South Dakota, northeast Wyoming, and northwestern Nebraska. The second front is over portions of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee and South Carolina.
Heavy rain with possible flash flooding over portions of South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.
Thunderstorms over much of the nation. A Level 2 severe weather risk on two fronts that encompass a wide area. The first front is part of Idaho, much of Montana, and portions of North Dakota and South Dakota.
