Heavy rain and thunderstorms will bring the risk of flash flooding stretching from Texas to Ohio, while heat warnings span from the northwest to the southwest and parts of the southeast, with red flag warnings for the northern Rockies.
An expansive area of heavy rain and thunderstorm will stretch from Texas to Ohio today, with the high risk for areas just west of Little Rock. The highest chances also span west and south of Dallas two just north and east of Little Rock.
According to the National Weather Service, areas of concern include: central and northeastern Texas; southeastern Oklahoma; most of Arkansas; southeastern Missouri; western and northwestern Tennessee; southern Illinois; southern Indiana, most of Kentucky; southwestern Ohio.
Heat is on the rise again prompting the National Weather Service (NWS) to issue a number of heat alerts for Wednesday.
Excessive heat watch: California; southern Nevada; northern, northwestern, central, western, southwestern and southeastern Arizona.
Heat advisory: southwest Oregon, northern California; northern and central Nevada; southeast and southern Texas; northern, west-central and southwestern Louisiana; west-central Florida; northeastern South Carolina; southeastern, central, and eastern North Carolina.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued an expansive red flag warning for portions of the Northern Rockies and the north-central US for Wednesday.
The areas under the watch include: central and western Montana; western and central North Dakota; southern, central, and eastern Wyoming; western, northern, and northeastern South Dakota.
There are also wind advisories for western North Dakota, as well as northern and northeastern South Dakota.
