The next three days will see a wide variety of weather, including the threat of severe weather and tornadoes, freezing rain, high winds, and fire danger. Here is the latest 3-day forecast from the National Weather Service (NWS).
The National Weather Service has issued wind warnings, watches, and advisories, as well as red flag alerts and fire weather, watches in a variety of states from coast-to-coast (*see NWS alerts for Monday above).
Mixed precipitation and thunderstorms are possible across all states in the western half of the US on Monday, with potential snow over portions of East-central California and western Colorado.
Fire danger in the West, particularly over central and western New Mexico into northern Texas and the Oklahoma Panhandle.
Snow in the East over portions of Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
The Western US will see a mix of thunderstorms and mixed precipitation. Snow is possible over portions of Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico.
A wintry mix will stretch over the upper Midwest, with a large band of freezing rain stretching from Minnesota, over the Great Lakes states into the mid-Atlantic into Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Virginia.
Thunderstorms over the central US will bring a severe weather threat over Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Iowa.
Critical fire weather is possible over Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Colorado and Kansas.
The Western US will see spotty mixed precipitation with potential snow over Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico.
Snow over the upper Midwest for portions of Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Minnesota.
A massive band of freezing rain will stretch from Minnesota, over the Great Lakes states, into the mid-Atlantic, and over the Northeast.
Thunderstorms over the Midwest, South, mid-South, Ohio Valley, and the Great Lakes states. Snow for central and northern Maine.
A large area of severe weather in the south over parts of Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Missouri, Kentucky, Illinois, and Indiana. Flooding is possible over portions of Mississippi and Alabama.
Critical fire weather is possible over southern Texas.
