In the West, mixed precipitation forecast over portions of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado and northern Arizona.
Mixed precipitation is forecast over portions of Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine in the east.
Snow over northern and eastern Washington; northern and eastern Idaho; Montana; western, northern and southern Wyoming; eastern Utah; western Colorado; south-central North Dakota; northeastern South Dakota; Southwestern in northeastern Minnesota; northern Wisconsin; northern and northwestern Michigan.
The NWS has forecast a potential ice storm over central and northern New Hampshire into southwestern and northern Maine.
Rain is forecast along the West Coast for portions of southern Washington, Oregon, and from northern to slightly north of Los Angeles. The rain will move inland over much of central and northern California, with mixed precipitation along the Nevada and Oregon border. Oregon and Washington will see mainly mixed precipitation inland.
On the East Coast, rain is forecast from northern Carolina to the coast of Maine. Rain will move inland over most North Carolina and Virginia, while in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast, areas will see mixed precipitation.

Tuesday: Scattered areas of snow in the West, upper Midwest, Ohio Valley and mid-Atlantic. Thunderstorms from Eastern Texas to Georgia rain for the Carolinas in southern Florida.
Wednesday: Mixed precipitation increases in the West, scattered areas of snow. The upper Midwest will see snow along the northern tier, as will parts of the mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Potential ice storm over the Virginias. Rain for the Carolinas. Thunderstorms continue in the South.
